Ancil Chamberlain

Ancil Emery Chamberlin, 97, of Fort Worth, Texas formerly of Bronte, Texas died on Monday, April 27, 2009 at the Wedgewood Nursing Home in Fort Worth, Texas.

Ancil was born on January 17, 1912 near Dow City, Iowa to parents Thomas Loren and Edith Pearl (McCoid) Chamberlin. Ancil graduated from the Dunlap High School. He worked as an airplane mechanic for General Dynamics now known as Lockheed Martin and lived in various locations in the United States with his work including Dan Diego, California, New York and Texas. He worked on a ranch near Abilene, Texas until he was in his late 80's.

Ancil was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Avery and Almin Chamberlin and two sisters, Ann Dattral and Alta Mae Gullett. He is survived by his daughter, Linda and her husband Gary Brown of Fort Worth, Texas; step son, Stanley DeLong and his wife Kay of Bronte, Texas; three grandchildren, Phillip Weiher of Fort Worth, Texas, Stephanie McKenzie of Manor, Texas and Kristen Irving of Fort Worth, Texas; step grandson, Lee DeLong; cousin, Pat and her husband Don Garrett of Dow City, Iowa and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services where held at 1:00 pm Thursday, April 30, 2009 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap, Iowa under the direction of Fouts Funeral Home of Dunlap, Iowa.
