Andy Androy

Andy Troy Androy was born February 8, 1970 to Robert and Mary (Casali) Androy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was raised in Moorhead, Iowa and attended East Monona High School. Andy married Sheila Haskins on October 25, 1997, at the Methodist Church in Woodbine. Andy worked with his father at R & A Drywall in Dunlap.

Andy was baptized on February 25, 2007, at the Lifeline Church in Dunlap. He loved teaching Sunday school. Two weeks ago he was no longer able to make it to church to teach, so the Sunday school class came to his home so Andy could continue teaching. Andy also loved spending time with his family. Every 4th of July the family gathered at his home after the parade to celebrate the day. He enjoyed hunting deer and pheasants. He also enjoyed family cookbooks, bowling, fishing and helping his brothers-in-law with their race cars.

Andy died on Saturday, August 16, 2008, at his home in Dunlap, Iowa following a long illness at the age of 38 years, six months, and eight days.

Andy is survived by his wife, Sheila Androy of Dunlap, Iowa; son, Tyler Androy, of Dunlap, Iowa; daughter, Lindsey Thompson of Denison, Iowa; granddaughter, Mariah Thompson of Denison, Iowa; father, Robert Androy and his wife Jackie of Dunlap, Iowa; mother, Mary and her husband Steve Borecky of Dunlap, Iowa; five siblings, Jim Bennett and his wife Betty of Woodbine, Iowa, Thomas Androy and his wife Patti of Dunlap, Iowa, Melissa and her husband Tony Ritterbush of Dunlap, Iowa, Jodi and her husband Kevin Bruck of Dunlap, Iowa, Jason Androy and his wife Katie of Woodbine, Iowa; grandmother, Mary Field of Woodbine, Iowa; nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
