Ann (Michael) Jepsen was born June 24, 1950, in Magnolia, Iowa to Dale and Shirley (Young) Michael. She grew up in the Magnolia area and graduated from Logan-Magnolia High School in 1968. She was baptized on July 16, 1950 and confirmed on May 19, 1964 at Zion Lutheran Church in Magnolia. On February 8, 1969, she married Richard Jepsen. The couple moved to Denison, and Ann worked as a librarian at the school. She then went to work for the telephone company for 10 years. For a few years she ran her own interior decorating business. In 1987 she began working for Frazier Building and Supply, where she became a store manager and used her decorating skills.

Ann was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison where she was a Sunday school teacher, superintendent of Sunday school, and sang in the church choir. She was an herbalist and believed in its healing abilities. Ann enjoyed singing, reading, and playing cards. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandson, her family and friends.

Ann died Sunday, July 18, 2004 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa reaching the age of 54 years and 24 days.

Ann was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents. She is survived by two daughters Tina and her husband Chad Pritchett of Granger, Iowa, Tammy Jepsen and her special friend Todd Moeller of Denison, Iowa; grandson Cale Pritchett; special friend Lyle Frazier of Denison, Iowa; mother Shirley Michael of Logan, Iowa; three brothers Carl Michael and his wife Dorothy of Logan, Iowa, Bill Michael and his wife Carol of Dow City, Iowa, Ted Michael and his wife Cheryl of Magnolia, Iowa; sister Mary Jane Michael of Logan, Iowa; special friend Deb Namanny of Deloit, Iowa and many other family and friends.
