Berneda Marie Tupper was born January 3, 1924, to Lee and Edna (Nelk) Tupper in Magnolia, Iowa. She grew up in the Magnolia area and graduated from the Magnolia High School. Berneda worked as a cook's aide at the Magnolia school for a few years before she moved in with her Grandmother Nelk in Logan to help her. Berneda also worked as a clerk at the Darner's Variety store in Logan. In December of 1998, Berneda became a resident of the Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine, Iowa.
Berneda was a member of the United Methodist Church in Logan, and she was active in the women's group. She also was a member of the Delvers study club. Berneda loved to travel and make ceramic items. She also enjoyed cards and board games with her nieces and nephews.
Berneda died on Tuesday, October 25, 2005, at the Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine, Iowa attaining the age of 81 years, nine months, and 22 days.
Berneda was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Daryl, Donald, and Harold Tupper; and her sister, Dorothy Witt. She is survived by her brother, Dwight Tupper and his wife Corinne of Logan, Iowa; two sisters-in-law Carolyn Tupper of Logan, Iowa, and Thelma Tupper of Chicago, Illinois; several nieces; nephews and other relatives and friends.
