Directions to the high school ~ The stop light in Logan is Highway 30 and 2nd Avenue. Turn to the west (left if you are coming from Missouri Valley)and go several blocks. You will see the school on the north/right hand side.
Directions to the funeral home ~ You will be on highway 30. Take the left turn (across traffic) into Woodbine. You will go across two railroad crossings and be on a cobblestone street (Lincoln Way) Turn left/west on 5th street (Foodland, the library, and a bank will be on the corner of 5th and Lincoln Way) Go three blocks and we are on the northwest corner of the street across from the high school.
Lee William Henry was born April 1, 1926, to John and Prudence (Jones) Henry in Barron, Wisconsin. Bill's parents had listened to and embraced the gospel in 1921 and Bill did likewise at 12 years of age. In 1932, the family moved to the Magnolia area. Bill married Rozella Lilly in 1948. To this union five children were born; John, Fred, Dan, Joan, and Flip.
Bill and Rozella farmed in the Magnolia area until 1986. Bill drove a school bus for the Lo-Ma School district for approximately 20 years.
Bill died on Sunday, February 5, 2006, attaining the age of 79 years, 10 months, and four days.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Joan Henry and Miriam Skaw; and a granddaughter, Sarah Henry. He is survived by his wife, Rozella; five children, John Henry and his wife Linda of Magnolia, Iowa, Fred Henry and his wife Joanne of Magnolia, Iowa, Dan Henry of Haiti, Joan Henry of Magnolia, Iowa, Flip Henry and his wife Jan of Lyndeboro, New Hampshire; nine grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Bill will be laid to rest in the Calhoun Cemetery with his parents, his grandfather, and his great-grandmother.
