Charles William "Bill" Mullenix was born September 18, 1924, to James and Vera (Nelson) Mullenix in Woodbine, IA. He graduated from Woodbine Normal School in 1942. Bill began farming with his dad and granddad, specializing in raising Guernsey cattle and Duroc hogs. Bill married Corlys Jean Rees on June 15, 1947, at the First Christian Church in Woodbine. They moved to Blair, NE in 1984, where Bill worked for Midwest Livestock Systems selling swine equipment for 10 years. The couple then bought a trailer, living in Arizona in the winter months, and in 1997 they purchased a home in Yuma. For the past two summers, they enjoyed camp hosting in Stanley, ID.
Bill was a member of the First Christian Church where he served as an elder, a member of the Harrison County fair board, a supervisor for the Harrison County Dairy Herd Improvement Assoc., and a 4-H leader.
