Billie Humlicek

Beulah Maxine "Billie" (Wilson) Humlicek was born on December 1, 1919, to Anna B. (Strahorn) and Frank M. Wilson in Alden, Iowa. She was raised in Alden and then graduated from high school. Billie married Glen Harper on October 23, 1937. To this union two children were born. The couple operated the produce center in Dunlap, Iowa until Glen's death in 1961. Billie then worked for Bonsall TV & Appliance in Dunlap. On August 18, 1963, Billie married Frank Humlicek. The couple ran the Dunlap Pharmacy for many years. Frank died in 1993. Billie became a resident of the Dunlap Nursing & Rehab Center on November 10, 2010.
Billie was a member of the Dunlap United Methodist Church. Billie loved to go to the senior center and take her grandchildren and great grandchildren with her for dinner. She also loved to teach her grandchildren how to cook. Billie enjoyed visiting with friends and family.
Billie died May 14, 2013, at the Dunlap Nursing & Rehab Center at the age of 93 years, five months, and 19 days.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Glen Harper and Frank Humlicek; son, Neal Harper; step-daughter, Connie Brink; great-great granddaughter, RayLynn Johnson; and seven siblings, Hazel Gregory, Garold, Boyd, Russell, Herbert and Keith Wilson, and Phyllis Wilkinson. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon "Sherry" (Dwayne "Doak") Walker of Woodbine, IA; daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Campero of Des Moines, IA; six grandchildren, Gail (Mari) Walker of Woodbine, IA, Sheril (Kevin) Kobs of Avoca, IA, Kristine (Ozzie) Bilotta of Apex, NC, Tim (Janet) Walker of George, IA, Katherine (Gerardo) Martinez of Des Moines, IA; Kelly Anne (Juan) Sebastian of Marshalltown, IA; 11 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
