Bob Davis

Bob Davis was born September 19, 1918, in Sacramento, California to Aubrey and Mildred (Jacobs) Davis. He graduated from Monterey Union High School in Monterey, California and Hartnell College at Salina, California with a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked for the United States Bureau of Reclamation for 32 years retiring in 1973. Bob married Marie Mel in September of 1954 in Reno, Nevada. She died on September 19, 1998. He married Vera (Ericson) Peterson on October 30, 1998.
Bob was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dunlap, Iowa. He was a member of Washington Masonic Lodge #20 F & AM in Sacramento, California. In 1997 he was recognized as a 50 year Masonic member.
Bob died July 13, 2004, at Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa attaining the age of 85 years, nine months, and 24 days.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Marie. He is survived by his wife Vera of Denison, Iowa; son Jeffrey Davis and his wife Sharon of Florida; sister Corinne Livingstone of Folsom, California; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; step-children Kenneth Peterson and his wife Marion of Stanford, Connecticut, Sandra Selleck of Fort Collins, Colorado, Suzanne and her husband Joe Hnilo of Palo Alta, California, Connie Peterson of Manning, Iowa, Mary and her husband Lynn Phillips of Manning, Iowa; 17 step grandchildren; 19 step great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
