Carroll Lynn "Hap" Peters was born February 8, 1949, to Orville and Laura (Cox) Peters in Pisgah, Iowa. He was raised near Woodbine and graduated from Woodbine High School. He then attended Tarkio College and was studying history. He was involved in a car accident that killed his girlfriend. After the accident he returned to the farm and helped his parents. Hap did temporary work, and for the past 17 years he has worked at Arrow Stage Lines in Omaha, Nebraska.
Hap enjoyed keeping up on the news by reading the paper. He also Hap was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Hap died at his home in Logan, Iowa on Monday, June 15, 2015, at the age of 66 years, four months, and seven days.
Hap was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Steve Peters. He is survived by his brother, Larry Peters and his wife Betty of Council Bluffs, Iowa; sister, Lisa Peters and her husband Mark Janson of Woodinville, Washington; two nieces, Tammy and Gina; and many other relatives and friends.
