Charlotte Rose (Geary) Thompson was born on December 21, 1937 in Sac City, Iowa to parents Lester and Rose (Ausborn) Geary. When Charlotte was very young, she and her mother moved to Sioux City, where Rose met and married Robert E. Nelson who adopted Charlotte. She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Sioux City East High School. Charlotte Married Jerry Quinn and to this union two children were born, Jeffrey Wayne and Barbara Rose.
Charlotte then married Rodney Anderson. They lived on a farm south of Paullina, Iowa. Charlotte worked for the Paullina Times as a typist for many years. Her next job was a bookkeeper at the Paullina Building Center. In 1980, the couple bought an old grocery store and remodeled it, bought a Piccadilly franchise opened and operated the Piccadilly Circus Pizza place and miniature golf in Paullina. She missed her kids and grandchildren so they purchased a home in Dunlap so Charlotte could attend her grandchildren's events and spend time with them. She decided to make Dunlap her home. During this time Charlotte also brought her mother Rose to Dunlap and took care of her Aunt Emma in Sioux City. She had the opportunity to travel to Europe and Germany and she took it along with bus tours and train travel.
She then purchased the property next door and renovated a 3 story Victorian house into a business for nightly room/whole house rentals for community events. It was called the Majestic Rose. She kept busy but she missed having a man in her life. In 2007, she married Pete Thompson and moved to Indiana. She kept busy with learning more about investments and made jewelry Christmas trees.
