Cheryl Woodle

Cheryl Roberta (Taylor) Woodle was born on February 23, 1939, in Lehigh, Iowa to parents Edward Earl and Edna Marie (Sturdevant) Taylor. She graduated from Lehigh High School in 1957. On September 29, 1957, Cheryl married Don Woodle at the United Methodist Church in Lehigh, Iowa. The couple lived in Lehigh until 1966 when they moved to Dunlap, Iowa. Over the years Cheryl had worked as a bookkeeper for M & S Chevrolet in Dunlap and White Transfer in Fort Dodge. She had also worked at the Dubuque Pack in Denison. In 1983, the couple left Dunlap and lived in Luverne, Minnesota, Fort Dodge, Iowa and Joslyn, Illinois. Don died on June 12, 1998. Cheryl moved back to Dunlap in 1999. Cheryl was currently working as a sales rep for Carex Medical out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Cheryl was a member of the Dunlap United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing golf and bridge.

Cheryl died on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at her home in Dunlap, Iowa at the age of 71 years, one month and one day.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Don Woodle. She is survived by her five children, Tami and her husband Kevin Eck of Kiron, Iowa, Lindy Woodle of Dunlap, Iowa, Traci and her husband Mike Houston of Denison, Iowa, Mitch Woodle and his wife Karen of Moville, Iowa and Treva and her husband Lewis Sammons of Ellsworth, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren, Brandon and Alissa Eck of Westphalia, Iowa, Kelby and Gina Eck of Panama, Iowa, Daniel and Roxanne Woodle of Moville, Iowa, Patrick Woodle of Moville, Iowa, Kaylee Woodle of Moville, Iowa, Jared Houston of Denison, Iowa, Jayde Sammons of Ellsworth, Minnesota, Gaje Sammons of Ellsworth, Minnesota, Shasta Bishop of Hutchinson, Kansas, Levi Burkhart currently stationed in Afghanistan; four great grandchildren, Gavin Eck, Dalton Woodle, Hailey Woodle and Addison Sowers; one brother, Gary and Linda Taylor of Lehigh, Iowa and many other relatives and friends.
