Cynthia Ann (Brunow) Manley was born on February 13, 1954, to Bruce and Amy Ann (Wulff) Brunow in Omaha, Nebraska. She grew up in Woodbine, Iowa, graduating in the class of 1972. Cindy worked at Nickerson Farms as a waitress, Nebraska Furniture for Mrs. B and Ratigan Motors and Rhoden Car Dealership in the finance department. She also owned a ServiceMaster franchise before working for Natural Creations in Woodbine. In 1978, Cindy married Pat Manley in Omaha and to this union they were blessed with a daughter, Shannon. Cindy was later married to Nick Mikels. Cindy and Shannon lived in Melody Oaks and then moved to Magnolia.
Cindy enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and cooking. She was an amazing caretaker for not only her own family, but also her ‘store-bought’ family. She loved the holidays and went out of her way to make it special for everyone.
Cindy died on July 19, 2021, at the Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 67 years, five months and six days.
Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Amy, and her brother, David. She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Manley (Tim) of Omaha, Nebraska; father, Bruce Brunow of Logan, Iowa; siblings, Elaine Brunow (Ron Holben) of Prairie View, Kansas, Fran (Bill) Wendt and Greg Brunow (Bob McMains) all of Woodbine; and many other relatives and friends.
