Connie Beck

Connie Faye (Sims) Beck was born May 15, 1947, to Ruben Charles and Marian Hazel (Nash) Sims in Burlington, Iowa. Connie attended school in Burlington and then worked as a nurse's aide at several different nursing homes. Connie married Earl Beck in 1967 at the First Christian Church in Missouri Valley. The couple made their home in the Missouri Valley area. Earl died on December 6, 2006.

Connie liked to draw and write poetry. She also loved animals and flowers. She took great pride in baking things for family and friends.

Connie died on Monday, January 21, 2008 at Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa attaining the age of 60 years, eight months, and six days.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Beck; and infant son, Bryon Christopher Allen Beck. She is survived by two sons, Daniel Rey Beck of Harlan, Iowa, John Nathan Carl (Tonya) Beck of Logan, Iowa; two sisters, Lillian Nash of Yakima, Washington, Karen Lofgren of Mesquite, Texas; mother-in-law, Dorothy Beck of Missouri Valley, Iowa; brother-in-law, Ron (Patsy) Beck of Logan, Iowa; sister-in-law, Patty (Don) Sisley of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
