Debra Dianne (Hack) Hill was born on March 21, 1956 in Denison Iowa to Frederick and Cecelia Marie (Haberberger) Hack. Deb grew up in Woodbine and graduated from the Woodbine High School. She then attended Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa and studied Food Service Management. Deb married Norman Andersen and to this union one son was born. She later married Duane Hill. They lived in Cherokee where Deb worked at the hospital in food service. Deb and her son Norm moved back to Woodbine and Deb worked at the Missouri Valley Community Memorial Hospital in the cafeteria. After Norm graduated from high school Deb lived in San Jose, California for a time and was the manager at a Denny’s Restaurant. Deb eventually moved back to Woodbine.
Deb was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Logan. She was very intentional about her Faith. She loved to play Scrabble and other board games. She loved spending time with her granddaughter. Deb was a people person and was always smiling and giving someone a bad time.
Deb died on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Arzia Health Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine at the age of 66 years, two months and 13 days.
Deb was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Dave and Bill Hack and a sister, Brenda Igo. She is survived by her son, Norman Andersen and his wife Holly of Mahomet, Illinois; granddaughter, Sloan Andersen; another granddaughter soon to be born, Scout Dianne Andersen; brother, Mike Hack of Council Bluffs, Iowa and many other friends and relatives.
