Delories Schlensig

Delories May (Thoms) Schlensig was born on March 25, 1932, to parents August & Emma (Westendorf) Thoms near Logan, Iowa.
Delories grew up in and received her early education in the Logan, Avoca, and Walnut areas. She worked as a clerk in the grocery store in Walnut for fifteen years. On July 14, 1966, she married Frank Schlensig in Avoca. The couple farmed near Dunlap. Delories had worked at the Dunlap Senior Citizen Center and did some babysitting in their home.
Delories was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, active in the WELCA, and had taught Sunday school.
Delories died February 14, 2004, in Omaha, Nebraska at the Creighton Medical Center at the age of 71, years, 10 months, and 20 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Marvin and a sister Marcella. She is survived by her husband Frank Schlensig of Dunlap; three daughters Joanna & Karl Heiman of Dunlap, Janice and John Hennings of Charter Oak and Carol and Chris Mueller of Ricketts; eight grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
