Dennis Juilfs

Dennis Scott Juilfs was born January 2, 1957, to Myron and Gerry (Speake) Juilfs in Omaha, Nebraska. After Dennis’ birth the family moved to Colorado. The family moved to Woodbine when Dennis was four and then to Missouri Valley where Dennis graduated from High School. After his graduation Dennis worked in Omaha in the construction and brick work field. For a time he was the grounds keeper at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Dennis returned to Woodbine in 2005 and worked at Apotheca.

Dennis liked to play chess and go fishing. He also liked to watch sports and he was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan.

Dennis died on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at the Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine at the age of 54 years, five months, and 27 days.

Dennis was preceded in death by his grandparents; father; and grandson, Matthew. He is survived by his three children, Angela Weir and Patricia Weir both of Omaha, Nebraska, Michael Weir of Fremont, Nebraska; six grandchildren, Evelyn, Isaiah, Dominick, Jeremiah, Alexis and Isaac; mother, Gerry and her husband Don Otte of Woodbine; three sisters, Deb Kepford and Terri Cozad both of Woodbine, Iowa, Pam Rathmann of Jacksonville, North Carolina; brother, Rick Mann and his wife Patsy of Dickinson, Texas; four step-siblings, Ron Mann of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Keith Mann and his wife Diana of Lake Oswego, Oregon, Linda and her husband Terry Steel of New Sharon, Iowa, Kenny Mann of Pella, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
