Diane Louise Hard was born September 10, 1954, to Charles and Rosanna (Newland) Hard in Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated from Benson High School and then went to the Nebraska Methodist School of Nursing. Diane was a nurse at the Methodist Hospital, St. Joe's Hospital, Visiting Nurses Association, Nebraska Medical Center, a dialysis clinic and most recently at the emergency room at Clarkson West.
Diane was a volunteer at Colonel Potter Cairn Rescue Network. This was a rescue network for terrier dogs. Diane rescued many dogs and she adopted two of these dogs. She also enjoyed gardening
Diane died on July 11, 2010, at her home in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 55 years, 10 months, and one day.
Diane was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Katherine (White) Newland and Pearl (Thiles) and Charlie T. Hard, and her mother Rosanna Hard on August 6, 2008. She is survived by her father, Charlie Hard of Phoenix, Arizona; brother, Steve Hard, sister Patricia and her husband David Hansen of Omaha, Nebraska, nephew, Conrad Hansen and his wife Elizabeth of Omaha, Nebraska; and many other relatives and friends.
