Donald Miner

Donald Dean Miner was born May 8, 1950, to Archie Dean and Mary Margaret (Edmonds) Miner in Pacific Junction, Iowa. Donnie attended country school in Mills County and Glendale Country School in Pottawattamie County. He then attended Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs. Donnie helped his dad farm. In 1988 Donnie got his hand caught in a corn picker. After Archie's death Mary and her four children moved to Pisgah. Donnie and his brother, Jim, operated a trash hauling business for many years.

Donnie and his siblings took great pride in keeping their yard mowed and the ditches cleaned out. Don was quick with a smile and he always asked, "Whatcha doing?"

Donnie died on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine, Iowa at the age of 66 years, one month and twenty days.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his three siblings, Mary E. Miner and Judy Ann Miner both of Woodbine, Iowa James E. Miner of Pisgah, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
