Donald William “Bill” Morrison was born on December 4, 1941, to Donald and Gladys (McIntosh) Morrison near Persia, Iowa. On December 9, 1961, Bill married Carol Mackey at the Woodbine Presbyterian Church. While Bill was proudly serving in the United States Navy, the couple lived in Virginia Beach, Virginia. After Bill’s honorable discharge, the couple returned to Woodbine where Bill worked for Union Pacific Railroad, Vickers, Paxton Mitchell in Blair, and he also farmed the family farm south of Woodbine. Bill also grew popcorn for Vogel Popcorn.
