Donna Crilly

Donna Mae Crilly was born on January 14, 1960, in Denison, Iowa to parents Wayne T. "Bob" and Lucille (Thompson) Crilly. She was raised in Dunlap and graduated from Dunlap High School in 1978. Donna then attended Chadron State College, College of St. Mary’s in Omaha and AIB (American Institute of Business) in Des Moines. She has worked at Principal Financial Group in Des Moines for over 30 years.

Donna loved to crochet and shopping. She donated many of her afghans to area nursing homes and Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines. All of her siblings and nieces and nephews have at least one of Donna’s afghans. She also loved to listen to music.

Donna died on Monday, November 29, 2021 at her home in Altoona, Iowa at the age of 61 years, ten months and 15 days.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Phyllis Schendel. She is survived by her siblings, Ray Crilly and his wife Deb of Dow City, Iowa, Mary Crilly of Dunlap, Iowa, Rita and her husband Gail Block of Waterloo, Nebraska, Jane and her husband Duane Renz of Moorhead, Iowa, Ruth Crilly of Omaha, Nebraska, Lois and her husband Bob Stessman of Manning, Iowa and Gerald Crilly and his wife Chris of Columbus, Nebraska; aunt Sharon Espeseth of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 22 nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

MEMORIAL DONATIONS MAY BE MADE IN DONNA'S MEMORY TO THE DUNLAP NURSING AND REHAB ACTIVITY DEPARTMENT.

THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC SERVICES. THE FAMILY WILL BE HAVING A PRIVATE SERVICE.
