Dorothy Ferguson

Dorothy Carlene (Boyce) Ferguson was born on July 22, 1943, near Dunlap, Iowa to parents Albert and Faye (Woodard) Boyce. She attended country schools near Dunlap. Dorothy worked as a cook at several restaurants in and near Dunlap including Dorothy’s Diner.

Dorothy enjoyed playing the guitar when she was younger and enjoyed watching the Dancing With The Stars show.

Dorothy died on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at the Maple Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton, Iowa at the age of 79 years, two months and 13 days.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Tonya; son, Randy Ferguson; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her three children, Matt Ferguson of Harlan, Iowa, Bryan Ferguson of Korea and Cheryl and her husband Jeff Haberberger of Kiron, Iowa; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
