Flo Marjorie Skinner was born on December 28, 1953, to Virgil and Dorothy (Riche) McIntosh in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was raised in Council Bluffs and graduated from high school in Council Bluffs. Flo married Steve Skinner on May 22, 1971, in Council Bluffs. The couple made their home in Council Bluffs, Magnolia and Pisgah. In 2015, they returned to Council Bluffs. Flo worked for the Salvation Army. She started out as a clerk and worked her way up to store manager. After she retired she worked part time at Sam's Club.
Flo died on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at her home in Council Bluffs, Iowa at the age of 70 years, seven months, and eight days.
Flo was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Steve; and three brothers, Luke, Roger and Charlie McIntosh. She is survived by her two sons, Toby Skinner of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Marty Skinner and his wife Kim of Logan, Iowa; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Virgil McIntosh and his wife Diane of Council Bluffs, Nancy and her husband Tim Deitel of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Connie and her husband Bill Mumm of Crescent, Lonnie McIntosh of Council Bluffs, Christopher McIntosh of Council Bluffs, Christina McIntosh of Council Bluffs, Donna Brantley of Council Bluffs and Marv Crosbie of Minnesota; and many other relatives and friends.
Flo did not want any public services. Her wishes were to be cremated and buried with her husband Steve.
