Franklin James Frazier was born January 16, 1947, to Robert and Adabelle (Schwartz) Frazier in Dunlap, Iowa. At the age of five the family moved to California. Before starting first grade his family moved to Omaha, Nebraska. He attended first grade there and then moved to Dunlap to finish his schooling graduating from high school in 1965. Frank worked at several jobs before enlisting in the army in November of 1966. After his discharge in 1968, he worked in Denison. On December 13, 1968, Frank married Karen Marie Shinn of Woodbine. The couple lived in Denison and later moved to Woodbine where he worked as a carpenter until being hired as a custodian at the school in Dunlap. They moved to Dunlap in 1970, and he worked for the school for 13 years. He then went to work as a mechanic for Eddie Johnson Ford in Woodbine for two years. Later he worked at Dilts Trucking in Crescent and then became an over the road truck driver.

Frank was a member of the Dunlap American Legion Post #224. He enjoyed carpentry work and working on cars.

Frank died February 15, 2010, at Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley, Iowa at the age of 63 years and 30 days.

Frank in preceded in death by his parents; brother Jerry; three half-brothers Lee, George and Bernard; two half-sisters Phyllis and Ruth; father-in-law Ralph Shinn; two brothers-in-law, Wayne and Norm (Perry) Shinn; two sisters-in-law, Elda and Barb (Bub) Shinn. He is survived by his wife, Karen Frazier of Dunlap, IA; three sons, Shane (Tammy) Frazier of Las Vegas, NV, Brandon Frazier (Melissa Harris) of Harlan, IA, Keith Frazier (Katie Cunningham) of Dow City, IA; four grandchildren, Chaise and Danielle Frazier and Jordan and Meaghan Frazier; mother-in-law, Elda Shinn of Woodbine, IA; three brothers, Terry, Gordan and Troy Frazier; two sisters Sandi Mahlberg and Robbi Wendt; half-sister Jean Bosiljevac; and many other relatives and friends.
