Gail Bridgeford

Gail Douglas Bridgeford was born on November 25, 1936, to Kenneth and Alvina (Nauroth) Bridgeford. He was raised in Dunlap and graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Dunlap. He then attended Iowa Western Community College and Iowa State University. Gail served 20 active years, collectively, in the United States Army, Air Force and Navy. He then served another 10 years in the reserves. He lived 34 years in Ames, Iowa and in his early years enjoyed golf.

Gail died at home on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, attaining the age of 82 years, one month and 21 days.

Gail was preceded in death by his parents, younger brother, Jim O’Connor Jr. and brother-in-law, Stacy Ware.  He is survived by his sister, Kathleen Ware of  Oelwein; his nieces: Rebecca (Tegan) Wilson and Melissa (Michael) Pino; his great-niece, Hannah Wilson; his great-nephew, Abe Wilson; and his aunt, Beverly Nauroth.
