George Washington Kinder was born October 16, 1922, to George W. and Meta K. (Lambrecht) Kinder in Elk City, Nebraska. He moved with his parents to the Modale area and graduated as Valedictorian of the class of 1940 from Mondamin High School. George and his family purchased their farm west of Dunlap, Iowa in 1941. He farmed and raised cattle with his parents.
George was a member of the Dunlap United Methodist Church. He was an avid reader and also enjoyed collecting coins and figurines. George wrote many letters to family members and classmates. He enjoyed cooking, playing with his dogs, and talking politics.
George died on Friday, December 28, 2007, at the age of 85 years, two months, and 12 days at his farm near Dunlap.
George was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by many cousins, great cousins, and friends.
