Goldie (Tietsort) Corey Wadsworth was born July 18, 1917, to Delbert and Ollie (Jones) Tietsort in Dunlap, Iowa. She was raised in the Dunlap area and attended country school near Dunlap. Goldie married Vernon Corey in November of 1934, and the couple was blessed with three children. The couple lived on various farms near Dunlap before settling down on a farm west of Dunlap. The last year they farmed was in 1963 and that same year they decided to move to town. Goldie worked at the Sugar Bowl, Gold Slipper, Koski Insurance, Ronk Insurance, and she also cleaned the Methodist Church for a number of years. Vernon died in May of 1972. Goldie married Clarence Wadsworth in May of 1974. Clarence died in December of 1988.

Goldie was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dunlap and Eastern Star. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, and canning pickles. She also enjoyed visiting with family and friends and attending local auctions and yard sales.

Goldie died May 5, 2009, at the Dunlap Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 91 years, nine months, and 17 days.

Goldie was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Vernon Corey and Clarence Wadsworth; one son, William "Bill" Corey in May of 2000; five brothers, George "Dud", Bill, Eloise "Buck", Wayne and Lyle "Dutch" Tietsort; two sisters, Daisy Michel and Doris Hicks; two grandsons, Scott and Louis Corey and great granddaughter, Megan Cue. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret (Pat) Krohn of Dunlap, Iowa; son, Louis (Sheila) Corey of Columbia, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Lila Corey of Dunlap, Iowa; 13 grand-children; 10 great grandchildren; four great-great grand-children; sister, Edith McHugh of Woodbine, Iowa; sister-in-law, Delores Tietsort of Anaheim, California; step daughters, Georgia (Dave) Roberts of Dunlap, Iowa, Judy (Roger) Rannells of Great Bend, Kansas, Cheryl Woods and Bonnie Wadsworth both of Phoenix, Arizona, and many other relatives and friends.
