Howard Andrews

Howard Clayton Andrews was born September 11, 1926, to Richard and Mildred (Melby) Andrews in Moorhead, Iowa. He was raised in Moorhead and attended country school. He worked as farmhand in Moorhead and Ute. Howard married Deloris Price January 7, 1949. The couple farmed in the Moorhead area. They moved to Brush, Colorado in 1990 and Howard worked at the Livestock Exchange on sale days. In the fall of 2002 the couple moved back to Dunlap. Deloris died on January 31, 2003.

Howard was formerly a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Moorhead and currently a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Dunlap. He enjoyed doing yard work, going to dog races, and playing cards. He also enjoyed going to Town & Country for coffee.

Howard died on Sunday, October 17, 2010, at the Dunlap Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 84 years, one month and six days.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Deloris Andrews; sister-in-law, Thelma Andrews; and brother-in-law, Art Massey. He is survived by his son, Vernon Andrews of Dunlap, Iowa; daughter, Marilyn and Dennis Fineran of Craig, Colorado; two grandsons, Jeremy and Alyssa Fineran of Craig, Colorado, Jason Fineran of Snowmass, Colorado; two great granddaughters, Hailie and Madison; seven siblings, Bernard Andrews of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Dorothy and Lyle Babe of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Janice Massey of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Darrell and Bev Andrews and Glen and Imogene Andrews all of Moorhead, Iowa, Carol Michael of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Bob Andrews of Moorhead, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
