Izola Agnes (Crum) King was born February 9, 1914, to Elijah and Bessie (Feige) Crum in Moorhead, Iowa. She grew up in the Moorhead area and attended country school. Izola married Calvin King on September 21, 1929. The couple farmed in the Salix, Mondamin, Portsmouth and Woodbine areas. Calvin died on May 21, 1981.

Izola lived at the Woodland apartments in Woodbine for 18 years. She enjoyed crafting and gardening as well as her many friends and family. For the past two years Izola made her home with her son, Larry and his wife Juanita and grandsons, Mason, Spencer and Nicholas at 21413 Red Bud Garfield, Arkansas 72732.

Izola died on Wednesday, November 8, 2006, in Arkansas at the age of 92 years, eight months, and 30 days.

Izola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Calvin; daughter, Carrie Bell Spangler; step-son Ralph King; several grandchildren; four brothers, Marvin Crum, Robert Crum, Henry Crum, Doyle Crum; and one sister, Elvira Klaus. She is survived by two daughters, Lois Washa of Lincoln, Nebraska, Iva Weller of Gordonville, Texas, six sons, James King of Carter Lake, Iowa, Earl King of Vail, Iowa, Gary King of Fresno, California, Larry King, John King and Richard King all of Garfield, Arkansas; at least 41 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
