Jacqueline Nicolette Park was born on December 3, 1970, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She grew up in Council Bluffs, raised by her mom and stepdad, Jean (Wright) and Dan Polley. Jackie attended Abraham Lincoln and graduated from the class of 1989. She went on to attend college with her best friend Tina Ayars where she earned her accounting degree. Jackie worked as a bartender at The Zone and at Sugar Creek. She was also a CNA at Eventide in Denison, Iowa and worked in the office at Garrett Trucking. Her most cherished job was being a MOM. Jackie was united in marriage to Randy Park at the Eagle’s Club in Missouri Valley, Iowa on July 29, 2000.
Jackie was a member of the United Methodist Church in Woodbine, Iowa. Throughout her life, Jackie found joy in the simple things. Her proudest accomplishments included spending time with her family, especially grandkids, indulging in crafts and books, casting a line while fishing in Minnesota's serene waters, following the drama of General Hospital on daytime television and engaging in lively games of euchre with ones she loved. Her fascination with wolves was a testament to her wild spirit and deep connection to nature.
Jackie died on Monday, June 10, 2024, surrounded by her family at her home in Woodbine, at the age of 53 years, six months and seven days.
Jackie was preceded in death by her mother and best friends, Jim Ayars and Steve Carlson. She is survived by her husband, Randy Park of Woodbine; six children, Larissa and her husband Matthew Malone of Carter Lake, Iowa, Christine and her husband Ryan Osborn of Dow City, Iowa, Holly Oney of Woodbine, Kameren Park and his fiancé Brianna Abrahamson of Woodbine, Melinda See of Omaha, Nebraska and Jackie’s “baby boy”, Caden Park of Woodbine; grandchildren, Braxton, Athena, Marla, Delilah, Oaklynn, Eli, Dawson, Walter Lane and Winter; sister, Valerie Dixon of Seattle, Washington; stepdad, Dan Polley of Council Bluffs; and many other relatives and friends.
