Jayne Brown

     Jayne Beryle Brown was born on November 24, 1939, to Jesse and Edna Barrett in Clarinda, Iowa. She grew up in Clarinda, attending grade school and graduating from Clarinda High School. Jayne met Willard Brown and the couple were married in Clarinda. She continued her education with some courses in typing. Jayne and Willard moved to a few towns in Iowa including Mondamin and Coin, before settling down in Pisgah. They were blessed with three children, Meredith, Missy and Kevin, before they started their foster care journey where they completed their family with the adoptions of Jeff and Jessie. Jayne worked at Perfection Form in Logan, Iowa and then did daycare at her house.

     Jayne loved being outside. She loved gardening and especially spending time mowing. She enjoyed baking and had special treats to go along with the holidays. Jayne also enjoyed trying her luck playing slots. Most of all, she loved her time with her family. She loved attending their school events and visiting them as they moved to new states.

     Jayne died on Friday, February 17, 2023, surrounded by loved ones, at Azria Health Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa at the age of 83 years, two months and 24 days.

     Jayne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard in 2000; infant daughter, Elizabeth; and siblings, Bill, Pat, Tiny and Sunny. She is survived by her children, Meredith and her husband Roger Jenson of Pisgah, Missy Olsen of Tampa, Florida, Kevin Brown and his wife Lysette of Heath, Texas, Jeff Brown and his wife Megan of York, Nebraska and Jessie Brown and his wife Callie of Missouri Valley; grandchildren, Scott, Stephen, Stephanie, Brittany, Easton, Giovanni, Julia, Grant, Greta, Isabel, Emily, Ian and Amelia; great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Nicholas, Saylum and Oliver; sisters, Joyce and her husband Larry Sunderman and Connie Jones; and many other relatives and friends.   

THERE WILL BE NO SERVICES AT THIS TIME. A VISITATION WILL BE AT A LATER DATE.
