Jennie Ruth "Ruthie" Papin

Jennie Ruth "Ruthie" Papin was born on October 27, 1926, to Ray and Jennie (Park) Rose outside of Dunlap, Iowa. She went to Crystal Reel and Crane country schools and then graduated at age 16 from Woodbine High School. Ruth then started her lifelong career with REA which then became REC. Ruth was married to Theodore F. Papin in 1949, at the Logan Christian Church.

Ruth was very active. She loved horses and bowling. Ruth and Ted spent a lot of time fishing, golfing, hunting rabbits and geese, camping and traveling. Ted also taught her how to play pool. Ruth had an eye for beauty and enjoyed photography. Most of all, Ruth loved growing flowers and buying cookbooks.

Ruth died on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Azria Health Longview in Missouri Valley, Iowa at the age of 94 years, six months and 12 days.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Ted Papin on November 27, 1975. She is survived by her sister, Beverly J. Rose of Omaha, Nebraska; many cousins; special friends, Kenny and Wanda Moores; and numerous other relatives and friends.
