Joann Redfield

Phyllis Joann Redfield was born October 2, 1924, to Elmer and Verna (Gamet) Redfield in Woodbine, Iowa. Joann graduated from Woodbine High School in 1942. After graduation she started working as an office manager for Woodbine Municipal Light and Power. She worked for Woodbine Municipal Light and Power for 44 year and retired from there on January 21, 1987.

Joann was a member of the Community of Christ, she enjoyed traveling to state and national parks with her brother Dean, and she also loved cats and dogs.

Joann died February 18, 2010, at the Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine, Iowa at the age of 85 years, four months, and 16 days.

Joann was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Edna Mae Colby in 1995; brothers, Lloyd Redfield in 2000, and Dean Redfield in 2005. She is survived by nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
