John Hansen

John A. Hansen was born April 22, 1943, to H. Charles Hansen and Vivian J. (Berger) Hansen. He was a graduate of Woodbine High School. John married Elaine Dobernecker on July 30, 1960, to this union were two children: son, Philip and daughter, Johna. He worked 15 years at Union Pacific Railroad and later with Schaben Real Estate. He was a member of Eastern Star, Masonic Lodge where he held the office of State Treasurer and sat on the Scholarship Committee, Tangier Shrine of Omaha, Nebraska serving one year as President of Central States Convention, honorary member of Omaha Home for Boys serving on the Farm Committee and member of the Scottish Rite of Omaha.

John died on July 31, 2022.

John is survived by his wife, Elaine; children, Philip and Johna; sisters, Carolyn (Mike) Waldemer and Kathy Lecner; brothers, Gene (Judy) Hansen and Lyle Hansen; three grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, one nephew and one niece. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
