 John Kenneth Skaw was born on August 10, 1946, in Logan, Iowa to Oran and Mariam (Henry) Skaw. He grew up on the family farm north of Magnolia, Iowa. John attended school in Magnolia until the 8th grade. In the early 1990’s John moved into the town of Magnolia where he resided until he moved to the Westmont Care Center in Logan in 2001. In 2022, he moved to the Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine, Iowa.

 At the young age of 14, John made his profession to serve God. He had a love for music, especially playing the piano, and could hear any piece of music and sit down and play it. He also enjoyed typing letters that he shared with many people.

 John died on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Rose Vista Nursing Home at the age of 78 years, five months and 12 days.

 John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brothers, Loran and Steven; and many other relatives and friends.
