Judith Trimpe

Judith "Judy" Maydell (Brasel) Trimpe, 66, of Dunlap, Iowa died on Sunday, September 26, 2010, at her home near Dunlap. She was born on March 3, 1944, to Earl R. "Pete" and Thelma B. (Walworth) Brasel in Dow City, Iowa. She grew up in Dow City and moved to Dunlap, Iowa with her family during high school. After high school she worked at Mutual of Omaha and went to trade school for programming and key punch. Judy then worked at the home office of Safeway Foods in Omaha until Safeway moved their home office. Judy then went to work for Acoma Turkey Plant in Carroll, Iowa. On August 12, 1967, Judy was united in marriage to Louie William Trimpe at St. John Lutheran Church in Dunlap, Iowa. The couple lived on the farm for the rest of her life. In August 1976, Judy and Louie adopted their only son, Todd Michael Trimpe. After raising Todd she returned to work at Perfection Form in Logan, Iowa, No Frills Supermarket and Wal-Mart in Denison, Iowa. Her last job was at Linda's Upholstery in Dunlap.

Judy enjoyed reading the Bible with her favorite Bible verse being Psalm 121 and her favorite reading was Footprints in the Sand. She also enjoyed bald eagle collectibles and fishing. Judy especially enjoyed the visit arranged by Hospice for a live bald eagle to be brought to her to view. She was always very happy to have her grandsons visit her.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Earl "Pete" and Thelma Brasel. She is survived by her husband, Louie W. Trimpe; son, Todd Trimpe and his wife Sarah of Blair, Nebraska; two grandsons, Spencer and Beckett Trimpe; two sisters, Betty Jane Wingrove of Dunlap, Iowa, Darla Rae and her husband Dennis Andersen of Huntsville, Alabama; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
