Julie Chase

Julie Ann (Torgerson) Chase was born on January 9, 1960, to Kenneth and Helen (Goslar) Torgerson in Onawa, Iowa. She was raised in Soldier, Iowa and graduated from East Monona High School in 1978. After her graduation, Julie worked at Stoddard Trailers in Dunlap. She then attended college at Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City, Iowa. On April 26, 1980, Julie married Roger Chase at the Soldier Lutheran Church. The couple has always lived in Dunlap. Julie worked at Mutual of Omaha from 1982 - 1996. In 1999, Julie went to work at Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison. She currently worked as a Medicare Specialist.

Julie attended numerous churches in the area. She liked to be the perfect hostess and cook many delicious meals. Many people raved about her potato salad. She loved having her family around and she truly loved being a grandma.

Julie died at her home on Sunday, December 24, 2017, at the age of 57 years, 11 months, and 15 days.

Julie was preceded in death by parents. She is survived by her husband, Roger Chase of Dunlap, Iowa; four sons, Josh Chase and his wife Kim of Omaha, Nebraska, Andy Chase of Old Town, Maine, Trevor Chase of Dunlap, Iowa, Jake Chase of Dunlap, Iowa; one granddaughter, Charli; three sisters, Jean Schultz of Ida Grove, Iowa, Phyllis Keuter of Creston, Iowa, Janice and her husband Jim Treiber of Moorhead, Minnesota; and many other relatives and friends.
