Kristine Tremel

     Kristine Karen Tremel was born on March 3, 1955, in Denison, Iowa to Edward and Margaret (Jorgensen) Hatterman. She attended school in Dunlap. Kris was united in marriage to Dave Tremel on July 17, 1972, in Dunlap, Iowa and the couple has enjoyed over 51 years together. Kris worked as CNA at Rose Vista Home for 27 years, retiring in 2010.

   Kris was a collector of mini figurines, gnomes and fairy gardens. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, baking with the grandkids, spending time in Canada and at the cabin in Minnesota, but most of all cherished the time spent with family, especially the grandkids.

     Kris died on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Azria Health Rose Vista in Woodbine at the age of 68 years, 10 months and seven days.

     Kris was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Mike Hatterman, Pat Hatterman and Gary Hatterman; sisters, Janet Mefferd and Carolyn Bostwick. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dave Tremel; children, Tammy and her husband Chad Kaltved of Harlan, Iowa, Kim and her husband Chuck McKinley of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Eric Tremel and his wife Ashley of Woodbine, Iowa; grandchildren, Zachary and Avery Kaltved, Joey McKinley and Mya Tremel; brothers, Robert Hatterman and his wife Claudia of Omaha, Nebraska and Dave Hatterman and his wife Kathy of Dow City, Iowa; sisters, Sandy and her husband Dean Finken of Earling, Iowa and Cindy Hatterman of Denison, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
