Larry Milks

Larry Allen Milks was born March 29, 1955, to Ervin and Jenella (Slack) Milks in Omaha, Nebraska. He was raised in Council Bluffs, Iowa and attended Thomas Jefferson High School. Larry was a wanderer and hitch hiked to 47 states. On May 9, 1981, Larry married Linda Tietsort in Council Bluffs. Larry worked for the Dallas Johnson Greenhouse in Council Bluffs.

Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR and WWF wrestling. He also enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, San Francisco 49ers, and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Larry died on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley, Iowa at the age of 61 years, four months, and 27 days.

Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ida Clara and Uriah H. Slack; parents; and brother, Robert Milks. He is survived by his wife, Linda Milks of Woodbine, Iowa; son, Tracy Tietsort and his wife Sharonn of Missouri Valley, Iowa; daughter, Clara Milks-Zimmerman and her husband William Zimmerman of Missouri Valley, Iowa; six grandchildren, Katie, Kody, Tayler, Baylee, Anthony and Layla; two brothers, Lee Milks and his wife Sharon of Creve Cove, Illinois, Ed Milks of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
