Linda Davis

Linda Marie (Gray) Davis was born on June 30, 1949, to Ervin and Opal (Neville) Gray in Onawa, Iowa. She attended and graduated from Dunlap High School in 1967. Linda married Larry Eugene Davis on November 7, 1970, at the Congregational Church in Dunlap.

Linda worked at Mutual of Omaha, IBP in Denison, the service station in Dunlap, and on the farm. Larry and Linda purchased the Dunlap Dairy Sweet in 1998 and ran it for 13 years. Linda loved mowing the yard, sewing, baking and putting puzzles together. She collected anything that had to do with pigs. She was great at taking care of everyone but more than anything, Linda loved her kids and grandkids.

Linda died on December 16, 2019, at her home outside of Dunlap, at the age of 70 years, five months and 16 days.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry E. Davis on August 20, 2019; son, Larry L. Davis on February 16, 2019; and brother-in-law, Mike Baer. She is survived by her daughter, Lori and her husband Greg Thomsen of Dunlap; daughter-in-law, Kim Davis of Indianapolis, Indiana; two grandsons, Jackson and Logan Thomsen; two granddaughters, Mandi Thomsen and BreAnne Meyers; siblings, Glenda and her husband Earl Malone, Roy Gray and his wife Sharon, and Kathy Baer all of Dunlap; siblings-in-law, Edwin Davis and his wife Carol of St. Helens, Oregon, Mary and her husband Darin Gebers of Holstein; and many other relatives and friends.
