Linda Mae (Koenig) Oviatt was born on February 5, 1947, to Kermit and Marjorie (Myer) Koenig in Logan, Iowa. She attended and graduated from Logan High School in 1965. After high school, she attended college at Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, Missouri. Linda married Gail Oviatt on December 29, 1967, at the United Methodist Church in Logan. Linda and Gail then moved to Sunnyvale, California, while Gail served in the United States Navy. In October of 1969, they moved back to her grandfather’s farm.

Linda was a stay-at-home Mom and a farmer’s wife. When the kids were in high school, she started working at the library. She then worked for many years at Eby’s Drugstore in Logan. Linda loved to golf and attend concerts.  Most of all she cherished spending time with her family and friends.

Linda died on October 21, 2019, in Missouri Valley, Iowa, at the age of 72 years.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Gail of Logan; two brothers, Ronald and Jean Koenig of Logan, Randy and Vicki Koenig of Logan; son, Steve Oviatt and Gina Cresta of Urbandale, Iowa; daughter, Jill and Todd McClintock of Bondurant, Iowa; four grandchildren, Tyler and Grace Oviatt, Parker Oviatt all of Des Moines, Sam McClintock and Max McClintock both of Bondurant; and many other relatives and friends.
