     Linda Jo Willis was born on December 30, 1945, to parents Glenn Willard and Wanda Jean (Allen) Shaw in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in Paradise, California and attended the University of California at Berkley. While at Berkley she met her husband, Harvey Willis. Linda married Harvey on June 7, 1964, in Alameda, California. The couple moved back to the midwest settling in Moorhead, Iowa and then moved to Bradwood, Illinois before moving back to Woodbine, Iowa. In 1992 Harvey kept his promise that after the kids were raised, they would move back to the west coast. They settled in Coos Bay, Oregon. She pursued her calling by becoming an EMT instructor and First Responder. Linda's commitment to saving lives and providing medical aid to those in need touched the hearts of many. Her selflessness and expertise were invaluable assets to the countless lives she helped save.

     Linda had many hobbies and interests that brought joy into her life. A talented seamstress, she adored spending hours sewing beautiful creations. Linda's love for cats was evident throughout her home as her feline companions received endless affection and care. Linda was also an avid book reader and collector. She found solace within the pages of a good book. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed exploring garage sales and thrift stores. She had a keen eye for hidden gems and took pride in finding vintage items or gently used furniture waiting to be   restored to its former glory. With patience and dedication, Linda brought new life to old pieces, leaving behind a legacy of beautifully restored furniture that will be cherished for years to come.
     Linda died on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at her daughter’s home outside of Woodbine at the age of 77 years, seven months and 12 days.

     Linda was preceded in death by her parents; step parents, Glenn and Jan Shaw and Wanda and John F. Miller; and her husband Harvey Willis. She is survived by her three children, Marshall Willis and his wife Catherine of Lester Prairie, Minnesota, Michael Willis and his wife Misty of Sigourney, Iowa and Wanda and her husband Todd Sternberg of Woodbine; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister, Glenda Shaw of Sacramento, California; and many other       relatives and friends.
