Lois Fay Hall was born on May 3, 1955, to Dwayne and Violet (Bell) Shepard in Pisgah, Iowa. She grew up in the Magnolia, Iowa area graduating from Logan-Magnolia High School in 1974. On September 20, 1974, Lois married Dennis Hall. Lois worked at the Harrison County Treasurer’s Office and then started her own cleaning business. She also worked as a CNA at Good Shepard in Blair, Nebraska prior to retiring at the age of 62.
Lois was a member of Faith Family Church in Harlan. She liked to quilt and was a member of the Quilting Guild in Missouri Valley; making seven to eight quilts a year. She also enjoyed giving them away. Lois loved everything about Christmas. She loved the decorating, making cookies and candy with the family, and the songs and movies. She simply lived for Christmas every year. She also enjoyed being outside doing yard work, mowing, trimming and taking care of her flowers. Most of all, Lois loved taking care of her grandchildren.
Lois died on October 27, 2020, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 65 years, five months and 24 days.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Dallas Shepard. She is survived by her husband Dennis Hall of Logan; three children, Sonya (Jim) Hiserote of Sioux City, IA, Sean Hall (Rehana Taylor) of Ricketts, IA, Salina (Russell) Anderson of Omaha, NE; 10 grandchildren, Aiden and Ava Hiserote, Jon Hernandez, Mia Espinoza-Taylor, Temperance and Alexander Hall and Makenzie, Olivia, Aspen and Finnley Anderson; eight siblings, Leona (Larry) Joy of Missouri Valley, Lillian Boddy of Littleton, CO, Lorene Clark of Pisgah, Elwin Shepard of Blair, NE, Erwin (Joanne) Shepard of Bennington, NE, Lloyd (Beth) Shepard of Blair, Leo (Marty) Shepard of Missouri Valley and Marty (Polly) Shepard of Blair; brother-in-law, Dana (Connie) Hall of Council Bluffs; sister-in-law, Dorla Hall of Persia, IA; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
