Louie Trimpe

Louie William Trimpe, was born on May 21, 1939, to Albert “Bud” and Wave (Vandemark) Trimpe near Dunlap, Iowa. He was raised near  Dunlap, attended country school, and graduated from Dunlap High School in 1957. Louie proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany. After his honorable discharge he returned to Dunlap and continued farming. Louie married Judith Brasel on  August 12, 1967, at St. John Lutheran Church in  Dunlap. The couple lived on the farm and adopted their only child in August of 1976. Louie worked at No Frills for several years and then Walmart retiring just last year. Louie enjoyed watching Westerns and being on the farm.

Louie died at the Dunlap Specialty Care Center on February 7, 2020, at the age of 80 years, eight months, and 17 days.

Louie was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Judith Trimpe on September 26, 2010. He is survived by his son, Todd Trimpe and wife Sarah of Blair, Nebraska; two grandsons, Spencer Trimpe and Beckett Trimpe of Blair, Nebraska; brother,  Leonard Trimpe and his wife Joan of Ute, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
