Louise Helen (Hunt) Thomas was born April 9, 1927, to Clarence and Louisa "Lula" (Chamberlain) Hunt near Mondamin, Iowa. She was raised near Mondamin and graduated from the Mondamin High School in 1944. After her graduation she worked as a telephone operator. Louise married Lloyd Thomas on March 17, 1949, at the Christian Church in Logan, Iowa. The couple made their home in the Mondamin area. The couple owned and operated Lula's Place and later Louise worked at Western Electric.
Louise was a member of the Church of Christ in Mondamin. She loved to play dice and cards. She enjoyed crocheting, games and crossword puzzles. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed travelling with her sisters-in-law.
Louise died on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at her home in Papillion, Nebraska at the age of 88 years and 28 days.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd; stillborn son, Terry Lynn Thomas; two sons-in-law; Lonnie Sears and Norman Cooper; and grandson, Nick Arnold. She is survived by her four children, Pat Cooper of San Antonio, Texas, Mike Thomas and his wife Linda of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Penny and her husband Jim Lewis of Mondamin, Iowa, LeeAnn and her husband Willy Arnold of Papillion, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Clara May Ochampaugh of Honey Creek, Iowa; brother, Clarence Junior Hunt of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
