Lowell Clark

Lowell Jack "Pete" Clark was born January 26, 1937, to Ted and Ada (Belle) Clark in Woodbine, Iowa. He was raised in Logan and attended school there. Pete started working for the county and then joined the United States Army and proudly served his country for three years in Japan. After his honorable discharge, he did mechanic work for a couple of years. Pete married Dee Dobernecker on July 26, 1959, and the couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year. Pete started his exterminating business, Clark Pest Control, in 1973, and he operated this business for 37 years.

Pete loved camping, hunting mushrooms and spending time with his grandkids and great grandson. His favorite holiday was the Fourth of July.

Pete died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at his home in Logan at the age of 73 years, two months, and 26 days.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Bonnie Drummond and a daughter-in-law, Joanne Clark. He is survived by his wife, Delores "Dee" Clark of Logan, Iowa; four children, Reanee and her husband Martin Loftus, Layne Clark and his wife Melissa, Pennie and her husband Wes Greve, and Richard Clark all of Logan, Iowa; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; five brothers, Earnest Clark of New York, Monte Clark and his wife Joan of Mondamin, Iowa, Alvin Clark and his wife Betty of Enid, Oklahoma, Eddy Clark and his wife Karol of Ankeny, Iowa, Donald Clark and his wife Sharon of Logan, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
