Lucile Mae (Seabury) Miller was born August 3, 1915, to Fred and Anna (Hull) Seabury in Logan, Iowa. When Lucile was 2 � years old, her mother died. When Lucile was 5 years old her father married Minnie Divelbess. Lucile was raised in Pisgah and she graduated from Pisgah High School in 1933. She then attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, Iowa for two years and received her teacher's certificate. She began her teaching career in Salix, Iowa. Lucile married Francis Miller on June 22, 1936, in Salix. The couple made their home in Pisgah where Lucile was a substitute teacher. The couple operated the Miller General Store in Pisgah until they closed it in 1988. Lucile enjoyed working at the store very much. Lucile became a resident of Elmwood Care Centre in March of 2002.

Lucile was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and the Altar Society in Pisgah. She was also active in the PTA. Most importantly, Lucile loved her family and loved spending time with all of them. She also loved to sing, do needle work, paint and garden.

Lucile died on Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, Iowa at the age of 95 years and 15 days.

Lucile was preceded in death by her dad Fred; mama Anna; mother Minnie; husband, Francis Miller on December 17, 1996; sister, Lorna Lengfeld; and brother Ed Seabury. She is survived by her six children; Nancy and Jack Stolz of Omaha, Nebraska, Mike and Judith Miller of Boulder, Colorado, Rick and Linda Miller of Omaha, Nebraska, Patrick and Sherrie Miller of Carroll Iowa Susan and Doug Waples of Sioux City, Iowa, Peg Witthauer of Omaha, Nebraska; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and many other relatives and friends.
