Lucille Roush

On October 11, 1915, Our Lord and Savior brought an angel into this world. On July 8, 2012, Our Lord and Savior took her home at the age of 96 years, eight months, and 27 days. Lucille Frances (Roth) Roush was born on October 11, 1915, in Dunlap, Iowa. She was raised in Dunlap and attended public school graduating in 1933. Lucille then moved to Rockwell City, Iowa and worked at the Rockwell City Drug Store. On April 8, 1941, Lucille married J. Wayne Roush at the Presbyterian Church in Rockwell City, Iowa. She was a loving and devoted mother and homemaker.

Lucille was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Friendly Neighbors Club. She enjoyed her flower garden and playing bridge. She also was a loving owner of Pepper, Dolly and Fritzy.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne on November 7, 1970; sister, Lorene Howell; and two infant brothers, John and Donald Roth. She is survived by her two children, John Roush and his wife Gail of Georgetown, Texas, Peggy Roush of Sioux City, Iowa; two grandchildren, Jay Roush of Austin, Texas and Jennifer Roush of Panama City Beach, Florida; two great-great grandchildren, Kallie and Zachary; and many other relatives and friends.
