Manuel Trindade

Manuel S. Trindade was born on October 28, 1926, in Cambridge, Massachusetts to Manuel S. & Maria Jose (Faria) Trindade. He attended Miramar School of Divinity in Kingston, MA. He joined the U.S. Army and later transferred to the U.S. Army Air Corp. Manuel married Marie Merenda at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Revere, MA. Manuel retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1967 as a Master Staff Sergeant. After retirement, Manuel worked in a men's clothing store, volunteered at the Dover, New Hampshire Police Department, and volunteered at the Air Force Base hospital. He was very active in the DAV and worked up to the position of National Adjutant. Manuel was also active in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover, NH. He was an avid stamp & coin collector, as well of a member of the VFW, American Legion and Moose Lodge. Manuel and Marie lived in Dover, NH for 43 years before moving to Earling in October of 2004.

Manuel died on Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska attaining the age of 79 years, six months, and 11 days.

Manuel was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Marie of Earling, Iowa; son, Robert Trindade and his wife Lori of Franklin, Wisconsin; daughter, Nancy and her husband Dave Thies of Earling, Iowa; nine grandchildren, Susan, Robert, Jr., JoAnna, nthony, Eric, Matthew, Sarah, Rebekah and Michael; five great grandchildren; brother, John Trindade and his wife,Josaphine of Braintree, Massachusetts; sister, Marina and her husband Albert Vasconcellos of Braintree, Masschusetts and many other relatives and friends.
