Margaret Culver

Margaret Mary (Roberts) Culver was born May 16, 1914, to Emmett and Mary (Pflieger) Roberts in Dunlap, Iowa. She was raised in Dunlap and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1933. Margaret married Roy Culver on June 15, 1935, at the Rectory of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dunlap. The couple farmed east of Dunlap and moved into Dunlap in the early 1970s.
Margaret was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, and the Altar Society. She loved to make afghans, play cards, dance, and play the organ.
Margaret died on Monday, April 14, 2008, at Dunlap Nursing and Rehab Center in Dunlap, Iowa at the age of 93 years, 10 months, and 29 days.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Culver on October 23, 2001; three sisters, Thelma Sexton, Genevieve Hein, and Barbara Clark; one brother, Robert Roberts; and two daughters-in-law, Mary Jo Culver and Bev Culver. She is survived by one son, Keith Culver of Dunlap, Iowa; two daughters, Joan and her husband Lowell Willey of Orafino, Idaho, Susan and her husband Darrell Vondrak of Leon, Iowa; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; three step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
