Margaret Zelmalee (Vanderpool) Hunt was born April 5, 1921, to Roy and Dora (Hewett) Vanderpool in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Margaret was raised in Missouri Valley and she attended school there.. She married Ora Alexander Hunt and the couple lived in Woodbine. Ora died in 1950. Later that year, she married Lyle Hunt. The couple continued to live in Woodbine. Lyle died in 1965. Margaret was a nurse's aide at Rose Vista Nursing Home for many years. She eventually cared for people in their home. In her spare time, Margaret loved to listen to country music, watch her tv and was an avid Elvis fan..

Margaret died on Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at Midlands Hospital in Papillion, Nebraska attaining the age of 84 years, eight months, and one day.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two infant brothers; three brothers, Bud, Fred, and Paul Vanderpool; two sisters, Viola Radloff and Leota Dooley. She is survived by her two children, LaVerne Hunt and his wife Myrna Kay of Omaha, Nebraska, Zelma and her husband John Tolliver of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three granddaughters, Gina and her husband Todd Wilson of Dover, Delaware, Brenda and her husband Tim Hawkins of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Marti and her husband Scott Stracke of Omaha, Nebraska; six great grandchildren; brother, Archie Vanderpool of Omaha, Nebraska special care givers Cheryl and Jamie Peterson of Omaha, Nebraska and many other relatives and friends.
